The Interview.

So yes - I interviewed my mother for this blogging assignment.

What was the funniest thing I did when I was a baby?
According to her, it was during my first birthday party at McDo, and my lola was all crazy about me. She was like, "Ay, apo ko! Apo ko!" and I was on her lap when suddenly I hit her squarely on the face, causing her glasses to fall. Mehhh, it's so corny, though. I didn't mean to do that to her, by the way. Hah.

What was my first word?
She can't remember, for crying out loud! She said it must have been the typical first words of a baby: dada or mama. I was scolding her after she said that, because which mother forgets the first words uttered by her child? o.o My own mother, apparently. Lol, kidding. ;)

What was my first food/favorite food?
Gerber and rice with soup & mashed potatoes (e.g., soup ng nilagang manok at patatas).

What was the craziest thing you did when you were a student?
All she did was to go out on dates with her boyfriend (who's now my father, by the way :P) without asking permission from her strict father.

How did you and dad/mom meet?
My mom's first class would always be in the Engineering building, where my dad and his friends always were (because, well, that was his course); according to her, she was quite a beauty back then and a lot of guys had crushes on her (so she says, HAHA). Apparently, my dad was one of them - he went so far as to arranging for his friends to talk to her so that she'd talk to him...Which she did in the end. Heh.

If you could do anything other than what you are doing now, what would it be?
Teacher or nurse.

Tell me a secret you kept from your parents.
My parents got married civilly a few months before the actual marriage date. Up to this day, my grandparents don't know about it yet. ;)

Tell me something about you that I still don't know.
Meron pa ba?
(Yes, that was her actual answer. Heh.)

I hope your parents aren't as protective to you since they went through all that from their own. It's something to think about actually, I mean if you had strict parents, how would you be to your children? The same or the opposite?

I'm sure they tell you about their love story - it seems exciting, up to the wedding date. Hard to live up to that though.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!

They're totally not so strict with me and my brother, actually. They're the most lenient parents anyone can have, and I actually appreciate the fact that they put so much trust in us. When I have my own kids, I'm pretty sure I'll be raising them the same way. :P

I did, Ms.! Can't wait for the next blogging HW!
